Is there a release date?
No. Game Science’s official FAQ asks whether there is even a rough date and answers that the team does not know yet. A year, quarter, countdown, or store placeholder from another source is not an official release window.
The project was described as little more than an empty folder around its 2025 announcement. Development has since produced an in-engine holiday short, but that does not create a release schedule.
Which platforms are confirmed?
The official wording is “PC + all mainstream console platforms,” followed by a note that final information will be confirmed before release.
That sentence gives a broad target, not a final store checklist. Until Game Science or a first-party platform holder publishes a listing, do not turn it into separate confirmed claims for Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, or another storefront.

Can you preorder it?
No official preorder is linked from the Game Science page. There is also no official demo announcement on the sources checked for this page. Avoid pages or videos that ask for payment, account credentials, or a download while presenting themselves as an early preorder or demo.
Are PC requirements available?
No official minimum or recommended PC requirements have been published. Black Myth: Wukong’s requirements cannot be reused as Zhong Kui requirements. They are separate projects, and Game Science says it is still exploring the concrete differences between them.
What would change this answer?
Any of these would be enough to update the page:
- A dated Game Science announcement.
- A store page published by an official platform holder.
- An official preorder or demo link.
- A PC specification table on the official site or store listing.
Until one appears, “not announced” is the complete answer. Check the trailer timeline when a new video is released, because platform or timing language often changes in the accompanying description rather than in the footage itself.
